Welcome back… No shuffle yesterday because I was off work for Veteran’s Day.  Lot’s to recap…

Tuesday night, I attended the weekly $2 Tuesday show at The 5 Spot.  As it always is, it was a great time at a great price.  Included: a second opportunity to see Brock Zeman and Blair Hogan – who killed it.  Bob Lewis with great band that included my old friend Joe Bidewell plus Lemuel Hayes and Issac Anthony.  Plus Derek Hoke’s always awesome set, and the late night spot was rocked hard by new Nashvillian K. Phillips whose band included by friend Steven Cooper.

Since, I was off I got to hang out in the studio and observe the making of Darrin Bradbury’s next album.  A lot of people are going to be surprised by his turn toward gangsta rap, but I never question an artistic genius.

Last night, a great night of songwriters at Mad Donna’s featuring the always awesome Kiely Schlesinger who was backed by Drew Kohl – who did a killer version of Springsteen’s “Atlantic City”, Violet Delancey who was backed by a great band that included Andrew Leahey on guitar, and Lindsay Ellyn who was awesome as always backed by Raun Schultz and Buddy Woodward and for the first time by fiddle player – Holly Parks.

In the midst of all that, I wrote a review of the (still fairly new) Sara Syms album, Way Back Home.  The title track (coincidently) showed up in the shuffle today, so I will post the links when I get to that song…

On to the shuffle

“Frying Eggs (The Roadkill Song)” by Darrin Bradbury

Decades from now, musical historians will look back and note that this was the first sign of Darrin’s eventual turn toward gangsta rap… what is more gangsta than singing about a dead raccoon?  Seriously, this our last track to post from The Story of Bob – the record which made my face famous…  By the way, I did not find a video of this song, but I did find a nine year old clip of Darrin.

“Saint Francis” by Gretchen Peters

Another from Hello Cruel World. Gretchen Peters is, hands down,  one of the best songwriters  working today.

“Side of the Mountain” by Carl Anderson

Another chance to talk about Carl Anderson’s amazing album Risk of Loss. The year is almost over and this is still on my mind as one of the best of 2015.

“Goodbye Marie” by Gear Daddies

Billy’s Live Bait – along with Let’s Go Scare Al – were part of the soundtrack of particularly interesting portion of life.  I think the songs (as all great songs do) have held up well in the decades since they were released.

“Florida Water” by Jesse and Noah

Another from Jesse and Noah – this one is from their Driven Back album of original songs.  It is a tribute to their home state.

“Way Back Home” by Sara Syms

As I mentioned in the Intro – I have written a review of Sara Syms’ awesome new album, Way Back Home.  This is the opening and title track which sets the tone for the album.  My review can be found on No Depression and right here on Ear to the Ground.

“Walking Down the Road” by Tymon Dogg

Tymon Dogg is a stalwart of the London underground music scene – whose credits include being a part of Joe Strummer’s last band, Mescalero’s.  He also contributed to Sandinista! and Combat Rock by the Clash.  Made of Light is the name of his new album which was released last week. Check it out!

“Tears Fall the Same” by Tiffany Huggins Grant

We return to local favorite, Tiffany Huggins Grant with another track from her album, Jonquil Child which also has to be on my list of favorites for the year.

“Motel Matches” by Elvis Costello and the Attractions

And, we close out the shuffle with some classic Elvis from Get Happy!  Get Happy! was Elvis Costello’s fourth album – his third with the Attraction, and it was released in early 1980 and remains one of my all time favorites.

Featured Friday Music Shuffle – Where the Blues Began Mix

Well it’s Friday and it is All Hallows Eve Eve and it is sunny today and did I mention it is Friday!

Last night I completed my punch card and made it to all five of the Campfire Propaganda residency shows. This week Megan Palmer  and Brian Wright were back, and Darrin Bradbury was out of town on tour. Great sets of music by Tim Easton, Brian Wright (who covered Darrin’s “Blue Highways”), Megan Palmer, and then Nellie Clay played with a full (and awesome) band for her CD Release show.  She even brought up a horn section for the last two songs.

After that I decided to enjoy the crisp Autumn evening and made my way to Drifter’s BBQ to watch Tim Carroll and Luella before heading home to do some preparation for a meeting this afternoon which should help me set a course to make 2016 the best year ever for #E2TG.

We have a featured Friday shuffle that is sure to provide a multitude of treats with a minimum of trickery.

“ネオ東京 Underground” by Victor Love

We start out with some Industrial/Techno music with an accompanying video that is a tribute to the classic Manga/Anime Akira. Fun stuff – check it out. This is the lead track from an album called The Network. Victor Love is from Rome – I believe, by way of Neo Tokyo.

“Cold Stones and Rubble” by Jon Latham

We are now two weeks out from the release of Jon Latham’s awesome new album, Real Bad News. The buzz for this record continues to build, and Jon will opening up for Malcolm Holcomb in December 4 at the original Basement.

“Silver Cigarette Case” by the British IBM

Earning their spot in the long line of awesome British Pop bands  (Pop in the best sense of that work by the way), I have been really digging on Psychopaths Dream in Black and White.  Check them out.

“If I Could Only Turn Back” by Fendrick and Peck

Fendrick and Peck are really nice people who happen to be awesome songwriters and performers. True story, I met Brian Peck the very same night that I met Jon Latham.  I had been convinced to accompany Darrin Bradbury and James Tomberlin on a somewhat sketchy drive to a Sunday night open mic somewhere way out on Murfreesboro Pike.  We ended up in this rather nice establishment in a strip mall.  The open mic featured some kids doing recital pieces, a couple doing traditional songs, and Darrin, James, Brian Peck, Taylor Alexander, Jon Latham, and Drew Kohl doing their amazing songs. Ah, those were much simpler times… (last year).  Anyway, this is another great song from the Fendrick and Peck album Lucky Penny which you should definitely check out.

“Land Where The Blues Began” by Sara Syms

Speaking of really nice people and amazing songwriters/performers…. Sara Syms is one of my absolute favorite Nashville artists.  She recently released her wonderful new album Way Back Home.  Land Where the Blues Began is as good as any place to dive into her music.  Sara makes pretty timeless yet timely music- couching her strong songwriting with some great production and instrumentation.   Check her out!

“Some Days a Dollar” by Tiffany Huggins Grant

Continuing a theme of Nashville singer/songwriters who are also very nice people… We have been featuring Jonquil Child for some time, and we still have a few more songs in our playlist.  Boasting a powerful voice and backed by talented an experienced plays, Jonquil Child is an incredible album.  #E2TG favorite, Mark Robinson produced and played on the record.

“Awful Lot” by Susan James

We close things out with our final track from Sea Glass – long time blog favorite Susan James’ new album which marked a return to her California singer/songwriter roots and which injected a decidedly Paisley Undergroundish sound to the music.

Saturday Morningish Music Shuffle – Spring Cleaning Mix

Be sure to “Like” Ear to the Ground on Facebook!

A rare Saturday shuffle to make up for not posting yesterday… life happens – you know….

It’s been a very interesting week in many ways.  Musically, since we last connected, Thursday night, I went to week 3 of 5 of Campfire Propaganda.  It was a blast with the usual suspects – who are some pretty awesome songwriters: Brian Wright, Tim Easton, Megan Palmer, Darrin Bradbury, and Nellie Clay plus this week joined by Matt Haeck.  Then, I headed to The Family Wash to see Bark (Tim and Susan of Tim Lee 3) play an awesome set and then back up Jim Mize along with Laurie Stirratt.

Last night, it was the Jon Latham CD Release Show at Belcourt Taps.  Darrin Bradbury opened.  A really fun time.  Jon was joined by Haley Dreis, Josh Morris, Shawn Conerton, and Sean Quinn. And he even asked me to emcee the show.  There was tons going on musically around Nashville last night, and I though I don’t like that I missed some of the things that I missed, I know I was at the right place.

Speaking of Jon Latham.  In case you missed it, I wrote some words about Real Bad News – his brand new album.  You can check it out HERE.

Just some tunes I listened to while I did some spring cleaning this morning. And, the answer is yes, I do know that it is mid-October.  What can I say, it has been a crazy, busy summer…

I am not going to comment on the songs – many I found the actual song for the Video Playlist.  If something interests you, and you need help finding out more – shoot me a line and I will tell you all I know.  Meanwhile, sit back and enjoy and maybe if you need to do some spring cleaning you can listen while you clean – like I did.

Okay… this has to be a fast one.  I walked over to the Southern Festival of Books during my lunch break (when I usually write and post the blog) to see Julie Christensen and part of Stone Cupid (Chris Tench and Sergio Webb). They killed it as usual.

Last night – quickly – some highlights: Week 2 Campfire Propaganda Residency… guests Ariel Buie and Actual Wolf.  Megan Palmer – on keyboard playing a new song and a John Moreland song. Nellie Clay with Actual Wolf, Tim Easton as usual, Brian Wright – fighting jet lag and killing it (with Aaron Lee Tasjan for a couple of songs), Darrin Bradbury and Megan Palmer – Darrin leading his own more of meditation…

Coverfest at Basement East!!!  Major props to Terry Rickards for putting this together.  Everyone was great, and I don’t have time for a full report, but I will just say Los Colognes doing Bob Dylan’s Infidels album in its entirety and nailing it and Allen Thompson Band as The Eagles were my absolute favorites (it was all good). The Eagles segment was so much fun!

Also, ICYMI – #E2TG posted the new single from Zachariah Red this morning.
Check it out here.

Shuffle….

“Out of the Depths” by The Unravelling

A dose of heavy prog metal to start this Friday. The album is called Tear a Hole in the Collective Vision.  We’ve been spinning tracks from it for a while… it’s great!

“(You’ve Got) The Right to be Wrong” by Reckless Johnny Wales

Another really cool track from American Heart by Reckless Johnny!

“Meet My Maker” by Sammy Brue

“Jealous” by Sammy Brue

Two tracks from 14 year old wunderkind Sammy Brue’s EP, I Don’t Want You To Leave.

“April Fire” by Benchmarks

Flashback to before the Summer… another awesome song from the Benchmarks record.

“Issac Woodard’s Eyes” by Angela Easterling

Another from Common Law Wife… Angela Easterling just came into my consciousness this year, and she is already a favorite.

“Trouble on my Mind” by Tiffany Huggins Grant

One more from Jonquil Child.  Tiffany will be following David Olney on the Music Stage at the Southern Festival of Books.  Olney at 10:00a.m., Tiffany at 11:00.

“Drunk” by Eight O’Five Jive

The award winning Eight O’Five Jive with another track from their Too Many Men album.

“Play Me” by Rich Robbins (feat. Saba)

And we close out our Featured Friday Shuffle with one from Nimbus which is the debut album from the awesome Rich Robbins.  Hip Hop of the highest order.

Well, back to reality and back to our daily shuffle.  More recaps of AMA 2015 will be forthcoming.

Suffice it to say, I had the time of my life – hearing tons of great music, seeing and meeting people, and sharing some once in a lifetime moments.

It is Monday and that means, I am back to work and we have a nifty shuffle to kick off the post-AMA hangover week…

“Yuma” by Justin Townes Earle

We start of this week with the devastating title track from JTE’s debut EP (2007).

“Missing” by Manilow

I didn’t realize we still have some Manilow in the shuffle.  This is some badass UK punk rock.

“Fighter” by Tiffany Huggins Grant

Another great song from Tiffany’s Jonquil Child album – one of my favorites of the year.

“Don’t Bang the Drum” by The Waterboys

A swelling, expansive track from This is the Sea.

“Railroad Bill” by Etta Baker

Some Piedmont Blues via The Music Maker Relief Foundation.  If I am not mistaken, Taj Mahal plays on this song.

“I’m Poor” by Supersuckers

My Americana experience this year began with a fund raiser for Supersucker Eddie Spaghetti at The Basement East – last Tuesday.  Today, we have a track from a compilation called Their Sympathetic Majesty’s Request.

“When Tomorrow Never Comes” by Pony Boy

We have another track from Pony Boy’s brand new record, Blue Gold.

“Slow Motion” (Sylvan Esso Remix) by PHOX

We close out the day with a remix of a song from the Self-Titled album by the indie band based out of Wisconsin.

Well…. we made it to mid-week.  Last night was a blast.  I walked down from work to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum for the CD Release Show for the Dylan, Cash, and the Nashville Cats (the 2 CD Set accompanies the exhibit currently running).  Bill Lloyd and the phenomenal Long Players served as the core band and were joined by an all-star lineup that included some of the players on the original recordings (like Al Kooper) as well as family members like John Carter Cash, Jamie Hartford, Britt Ronstadt.  Charlie Daniels, Michael Nesmith (Monkees), Julie Christensen, Kathy Mattea, Radney Foster, Jason Ringenberg and many more made for a memorable event.  A brief rain delay did not seem to chase to many people away.

After that show, I headed to the Hi Watt to catch Heathen Sons (who were really good) – they are competing in Music City Mayhem for a slot playing Live on the Green so check them out and give them a vote if you can.  Benchmarks were next.  Formerly known as Todd Farrell and the Dirty Birds, Benchmarks just recently released a new EP which we will be presenting soon.  The band had not played together in a few months, but they really sounded good to me, and as always, the songs were excellent.  Todd Farrell pulled double duty, joining headliners Two Cow Garage on guitar.  It was the last night of a month long tour for the long running Ohio band, and they did not hold back – offering a full-frontal assault of their unique brand of rock and roll.

Now, to this mornings shuffle….

“Promised Land” by Tom Schreck

Nashville singer-songwriter, Tom Schreck leads off today’s shuffle with another track from his album Save Your Glory.

“Out My Window” by Tiffany Huggins Grant

Another Nashville singer-songwriter, Tiffany Huggins Grant is up next with another song from her new album Jonquil Child which was released yesterday.

“Rock of Ages” by Grant Lee Buffalo

Grant Lee Buffalo covers Def Leppard… not really… from the album Mighty Joe Moon which I came across in a Goodwill bin, this “Rock of Ages” is an original and a really cool song.

“Call of the Wild” by Tom Tom Club

From Boom Boom Chi Boom Boom which has been in our playlist for several months.  After this, we just have one more from that album which we have not featured in a shuffle. In case you don’t know, Tom Tom Club is lead by the husband and wife rhythm section from Talking Heads (Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth).

“Alonely” by Bob Lewis

Last week, Bob Lewis (yet another Nashville singer-songwriter) opened up for Darrin Bradbury and Austin Lucas at The 5 Spot, and I was impressed enough to grab some of his music.  This is the first official E2TG listen.  The track in on his 2011 album, NOw here…  I could not find a video of Bob Lewis so here is “Alonely” via Bandcamp.

http://bandcamp.com/EmbeddedPlayer/album=1679989784/size=small/bgcol=ffffff/linkcol=0687f5/track=1644483499/transparent=true/

“The Warmth of the Sun” by The Beach Boys

The latest Feel Bad for You mixtape features “Summer” songs and includes this Beach Boys track which appeared on their 1964 album Shut Down Volume 2 and it was also the B-Side to the single, “Dance, Dance, Dance”.

“Exit a Hero” by The Vigilance Committee

The Vigilance Committee is a indie/punk band from Long Island. Exit the Hero is the title and final track of the band’s latest release – a concept album which details events in 1800s San Francisco.

Another week has begun…  Gonna make this short and sweet….

“Summer’s Kiss” by The Afghan Whigs

First up… The Afghan Whigs with a song from their 1996 album Black Love…

“Too Many Bridges to Cross Over” by Jesse and Noah

From the EP Brethren.  Jesse and Noah Bellamy with (if I am not mistaken in my hasty research) a cover of a song written by Dallas Frazier which Merle Haggard included on his classic album Mama Tried.

“Love Letters” by Tiffany Huggins Grant

Jonquil Child, the album from which this song is taken, is due out tomorrow (July 7).  I seriously and sincerely recommend that you get this album when you can.  I’ve been listening for a while, and I love it.  Tiffany Huggins Grant is an absolutely amazing vocalist.

“Kid” by KATO (ft. Joanie Payne)

Kato is a rapper/hip-hop artist from L.A.  This is from an EP called Summer in Space Beach.

“Barbarism Begins at Home” by The Smiths

Nearly seven minutes of The Smiths from Meat is Murder.

“Rainbow Sign” by The Buckstankle Boys

From an album called The New Young Fogies Vol. 1.  The Buckstankle Boys are a Bluegrass/Old Time band from Mt. Airy, North Carolina.

“The Things I Regret” by Brandi Carlile

Brandi Carlile with a song from her most recent album, The Firewatcher’s Daughter.

“Live for Now” by Daphne Willis

Daphne Willis was one of the brightest lights at the Safety Harbor Songfest, I attended earlier this year.  She is from Nashville by way of Chicago.  This uplifting song was the lead track from her 2008 album Matter of Time.

Hard to believe we’ve reached the end of another month.  My Facebook memory thing reminded me that it was a year ago today that I came off of my self-imposed hiatus and returned to posting daily morning shuffles.  It’s been quite a year, and I have to stop and thank everyone who helped make it so.  All the readers, artists, and all the people who have sent me music.  That last group has increased exponentially  – especially in the last month or so, and I have been struggling to keep up.  I want to give all the music I receive a fair listen, and so I beg patience as I try to listen and respond to as many submissions as I can.  Believe me, it is a great problem to have for someone who loves to hear all kinds of music.

“Free” by Whiskey Shivers

Another song from Whiskey Shivers from the Austin band’s self-titled album. Yep!

“Nobody” by Killing Kuddles

Long time #E2TG favorite Killing Kuddles from Atlanta, Georgia are back with a new EP called, Sinking Ship.  This is our first listen to that album.  All I can say is that it’s great to have Killing Kuddles back in the shuffle!

“When it Rains” by Tiffany Huggins Grant

Jonquil Child – the debut album from Singer-Songwriter Tiffany Huggins Grant is due out on July 7 (a week from today!).  Boasting Huggins Grant’s incredible vocals, some wonderful songs, and top-notch Nashville production from #E2TG favorite Mark Robinson (plus some great Nashville musicians), the album has become a favorite of mine since I got my hands on it.  She is playing a CD Release show in Nashville on July 18 at Douglas Corner.  Should be a good time!

“Sleep All Summer” by Crooked Fingers

Crooked Fingers was formed by Eric Bachmann following the breakup of Archers of Loaf.  They have had rotating cast of musicians backing Bachmann.  This song is from their 2011 album, “Breaks in the Armor”.  This was my first real listen to this band, and I like what I’ve heard.

“Blackspot” by Jonas Howden Sjøvaag’s Navyelectre

I always like to receive music that I would be unable and unlikely to hear otherwise – also proof that I do listen to music that comes my way.  Navyelectre is primarily the music of Norwegian artist, Jonas Howden Sjøvaag.  Some improvised music with elements of electronic pop music.  Highly original and a great addition to my shuffle.

“14” by Sam Morrow

Sam Morrow returns to the shuffle with another track from the Seahorse Session.  This one is about starting drinking at age 14.  Morrow recently celebrated 4 years of sobriety (which I post only because it was on his Facebook page), and it is very clear this music comes from a richly authentic place.

“Some Things Stay” by Brock Zeman

Like Sam Morrow, I wrote about Brock Zeman and connected via social media, and then kind of lost track of him. Recently, I was fortunate to see him play an incredible round at the Bluebird, and I was reminded of what drew me to his music in the first play.  Great songs, a unique voice, and a rich sound.  From Pulling Your Sword Out of the Devil’s Back.

“Why Do the Heathen Rage” by Guadalcanal Diary

Our third Georgia related band.  Marietta’s Guadalcanal Diary’s debut, Walking the Shadow of the Big Man is one of my favorites of all time.  This song is among my favorites from that album.

“I Wanted Hair Like Alice Cooper” by Batkhi Dahn

More music from Connecticut avant garde, experimental, whatever band Batkhi Dahn from Plays 15.

Monday after a productive weekend of writing…  look for some of that productivity to be posted soon and some later than soon…

“Changing of the Guard” by Jesse Terry

After posting a song from Jesse Terry for a Noisetrade sampler, I figured out we have several mutual friends on Facebook, and I got hold of a new album – also available on Noisetrade called The Calm and The Storm.  This song is from that album.

“Millionaire’s Dream” by John Wesley Harding

I will go with calling this a deep cut from Why We Fight? In this sense, the term means that as much I love this album and can immediately identify almost all of the songs on the album when they begin to play, I had to give this one a thorough listen.  I like it, and I’m not really sure why it didn’t stick in my brain the way others songs from the album did.

“I Wanna Lose Control” by Deathray

This song is from the soundtrack of the animated movie, Open Season.  That soundtrack featured several songs by Replacements’ front man Paul Westerberg.  For some reason, my music player identified this song as being by Paul Westerberg.  Interestingly enough, if this had been a Paul Westerberg song, I would have viewed it as a disturbing point in his career, but realizing it was not Westerberg but a California New Wave/Pop band that existed from 1998-2007 made all the difference, and I kind of dig the song in a light and airy kind of way.

“All Mod Cons” by The Jam

The title track from one of my favorite albums of all time by one of my favorite bands of all time.  Man those Brits had something going on in the latter part of the 1970s.

“Truth or Consequence” by Susan James

Susan James’ new album Sea Glass is due out in just over a week.  On the record, James has shed much of the Americana vide of her last album, Driving Toward the Sun (2013) which was excellent in it’s own right.  Here, the California singer-songwriter embraces her roots and makes a classic California Pop record for the current day.

“Philosophize In It! Chemicalize With It!” by Kishi Bashi

This was part of the World Café 100 song download I recently posted about.  Kishi Bashi is the recording project of  Kaoru Ishibashi (Jupiter One, Of Montreal, Regina Spektor).  This song is from the 2014 album Lighght and was performed on The Late Show with David Letterman.

“Someday” by Steve Earle

A great song from Steve Earle’s classic Guitar Town album.  Ear to the Ground favorite Lindsay Ellyn performed a cover of this song at her recent EP Release show.

“Stacy Main” by Black Vincent

Black Vincent is a new project from Coley Kennedy (Welcome to Ashley, The Buddies).  The album was recorded in Nashville by producers Adam Landry and Justin Collins.  I dig this song quite a bit, and I look forward to digging into the rest of the album.

“You’re Not Alone” by Tiffany Huggins Grant

Another song from Jonquil Child, the forthcoming (July 7) album by Nashville singer-songwriter Tiffany Huggins Grant.  The album was produced by and features Ear to the Ground favorite Mark Robinson among other Nashville heavyweights. For me the stand out feature of this album are the stunning vocals by Tiffany Huggins Grant.

“She Knows What To Do” by Stacy Mitchhart

We shall close out of first shuffle of the week with another Nashville stand out.  We have been featuring songs from Stacy Mitchhart’s Live My Life album, and we just have one track left after this one.  This is real live, uncompromising Blues music.  Mitchhart can be found just about any night down in Printer’s Alley in downtown Nashville laying it down at Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar.

So, I find myself short on time, so I have to speed through this. I hope you find time to dig deeper.  I could not find the exact track for all the songs for the Video Playlist, so you my have to do some internet searches.  Some great stuff, and well worth the effort.

“Racing to the Ruins” by Syd Straw

I have enjoyed so much revisiting Syd Straw’s classic album Surprise. Truly one of the best albums of the late 80s.

“Reprise” by The End Men

What a reprise! From the 2013 E2TG Band of the Year’s latest album, Terms and Conditions. The End Men are currently tearing up Europe!

“Takin’ a Ride” by The Replacements

The opening track from the first studio album by the one and only Replacements!

“Send Me on My Way” by Rusted Root

Some people say, I don’t have enough 90s music on Ear to the Ground.  Actually, to my knowledge no one has ever said that, but they may have thought it… but I can’t prove it.  In any event, here is a song released as a single in 1995.  A rough version appeared on Rusted Root’s debut album, Cruel Sun.  The song was rerecorded and included on their second album (and major label debut), When I Woke.  Undeniably infectious.

“India” by Roxy Music

A lush instrumental from the classic 1982 album, Avalon.

“Magnetic” by Michael Sackler-Berner

A song from the Shimmer and Shine EP by the fast rising New York singer-songwriter.

“One Too Many” by Tiffany Huggins-Grant

From the forthcoming album, Jonquil Child, by Nashville-based singer-songwriter Tiffany Huggins-Grant, this song was written by Pamela Jackson (one of only two songs on the album written by others). The album was produced by E2TG favorite Mark Robinson who also produced David Olney’s 2014, When the Deal Goes Down. Really digging this album so far.

“Snow is Falling” by Cletus Kennelly and Lori Kelley

Another track from the long-time D.C. area duo.  Lori Kelley is now a Nashville resident, and I got to hear her perform Sunday night.

“Just Like You” by Gill Landry

A fantastic track (and first single) from the recent self-titled solo effort by the Old Crow Medicine Show guitarist.

“On Your Knees” by fIREHOSE

From Ragin’ Full On…  one of my favorite fIREHOSE songs.

“The Road Ahead” by Boy Named Banjo

Another great song from the album Long Story Short by the young Nashville band who will be playing Bonnaroo in about a month.

“When the World’s Against Me” by Andrew Adkins and The Colored Parade

I also saw Andrew Adkins perform live Sunday night.  Here he is with his band, The Colored Parade with a song released on KidzlikeDanny 4 a compilation from an organization that raises money for various autism causes.  A great song to end today’s shuffle.
