I really happy with the response and the outcome of the first week of our new “themed” shuffles.  I am especially pleased that each day there was a pretty wide range of musical sounds and styles represented within each theme.

So, we are back with our second Music City Monday – songs (old and new) that are somehow connected to Music City USA – aka Nashville, Tennessee.

“Set the Record Straight” by Luella

Luella sets the record straight with one of her new songs.  This is from a sampler CD of some of Luella’s recent music which you can get at one of shows.  Luella performs every Friday at The 5 Spot as part of Tim Carroll Rock and Roll Happy Hour from 6:00 to 8:30.

“Can’t Wake Up” by The Apache Relay

The Apache Relay were a great Nashville band who called it quits in 2015.  I grabbed this live recording from a CD of Music from a performance/documentary called Music City Underground which was released in 2012.  I was lucky enough to find this CD awhile back in the CD bin at a thrift store.

“Girl in the Sky” by Stone Cupid

How about the fabulous Stone Cupid – lead by Julie Christensen with a song from their album The Cardinal. The song was written by Amelia White.  It’s a good one.

“Nuclear War” by Cloverbottom

Cloverbottom were an early punk band in Nashville.  This song is available on the wonderful musical time capsule, Return to Elliston Square which was released by Spat! Records a few years back.  The song was originally on the band’s first EP called Anarchy in Music City.

“Slippin’ Away” by Carolina Story

Another from the duo Carolina Story from their EP Chapter One.

“When I Can” by Jon Latham

Jon Latham recently celebrating his birthday.  To celebrate, here is another track from his incredible debut album Real Bad News.  A beautiful tune here.

No Difference” by Daphne Willis

Daphne Willis will be playing tonight at The Basement East with HER.  This song goes back some to an EP called Matter of Time.  The infectiousness of her music is evident here.

“American Saga” by Charlie Hager

Next up, Charlie Hager with the title track from his new album.  Charlie is having his CD release show on March 17 at the Crying Wolf.  Expect to hear much more from this album on E2TG. It was released on Flour Sack Cape records which is doing an admirable job workings with a lot of the artists you read about on E2TG.

“TMI” by Daphne Willis

Obviously, the shuffle knew that Daphne Willis was playing tonight (did I mention that she is playing at The Basement East with HER- doors at six, music at seven $5).  A more up-to-date song from her latest EP called Get It!  This is a really silly song, but I can almost guarantee that if you hear it, you will be singing it. Extremely fun!

“The Ballad of Wayne WV” by Andrew Adkins

We close things out with Andrew Adkins and another from Glass Castles. Catch Andrew Wednesday night at The Country for a must-see Nashville songwriters event.  Adkins will be performing in the round with Tim Carroll, Jon Byrd, Tommy Womack, and Adkin’s co-Earie winner, Mighty Joe Nolan.  This is an incredible line-up of some of the best that Nashville has to offer.  7:30p.m. – The Country is located near Centennial Park on 28th Avenue – just off West End and next to Jed’s Sports Bar.

My sincere hope is that a large number of people saw John Moreland on Colbert last night and became instant fans. I realize that the possibility of seeing Moreland at The 5 Spot or the backyard at Fond Object may be less likely, but in my opinion this is important music that needs to be heard. One thing I try to do (both for myself and others) is just appreciate that someone discovers great music for themselves and not worry about when they made that discovery.  For me, I am glad I discovered John Moreland’s music when I did (which was somewhat before anyone who discovered him last night and somewhat after a lot of my songwriter friends).

Let’s move on into the shuffle:

“I Don’t Care” by Tim Carroll

Tim Carroll has digitally released some new songs and new versions of older songs with his new band.  Three of those songs ended up on a homemade CD, which you can pick up most Fridays at The 5 Spot where Carroll and Luella and band hold court from 6-8:30.  This is one of my favorite of the new songs – although all of Tim Carroll’s songs (and he has a bunch of them) are excellent.  The video we’ve included was directed by “Earie” award winner, Paul Zografi.

“At This Midnight Hour” by Tomas Doncker Band

Big Apple Blues was Tomas Doncker’s ode to New York City. The album was released last year and features Pulitzer Prize winning poet Yusef Komunyakaa.  From that album, comes this track which sets a mood and groves.

“Over and Again” by Brian Wright and The Waco Tragedies

From the 2007 album, Bluebird… sometimes you things go on even when they are cracked and broken.

“Some Ol Dolls” by Tomas Doncker

Tomas Doncker’s follow up to Big Apple Blues is The Mess We’ve Made – a powerful commentary of the what’s going on. Social and racial injustice – again with a true groove that few can do as well as Tomas Doncker. Doncker is a veteran of the New York No Wave scene, and he recently completed six sold out nights with James Chance and the Contortions in Tokyo.

“The Cardinal” by Stone Cupid

The powerful and devastating lead and title track from the brand new album by Stone Cupid – the band fronted by Julie Christensen. The song is filled with brilliant imagery, and it is epic in its scope.

From The Foundry EP.  Another awesome song from the Brooklyn based indie-folk/Americana band.  I am electing not to comment on the sentiment of the song, but there is a chance I may or may not subscribe to it. I can neither confirm nor deny.

“Hot Party Dads” by Whiskey Shivers

Another from the wildly entertaining Austin old-time/bluegrass/folk/traditional band.  A short, but sweet rave up from the self-titled album.

“Swimmin’ Time” by Shovels and Rope

And we close out the day with the title track from the 2014 album… It’s up above 70 today in Nashville, and it seems like Swimmin’ Time is just around the corner.  Ah, but winter is not over by a long shot.

Whew… it’s been quite a week. Thanks for hanging with me as my schedule has been off…  We seem to be back on schedule.

Enjoyed some fine Nashville music last night at The Family Wash.  Nellie Clay, Megan Palmer, and Russell Thompson – all backed by an amazing band made up of Adam “Ditch” Kurtz on pedal steel and guitar, Aaron Shafer-Haiss, and Jonathan Beam.

Today’s E2TG “Earie” Award is called the “Hall of Fame” Award.  It recognizes long-time E2TG favorite artists who made significant achievements in 2015.

1.  The End Men – I was first introduced to The End Men around January 2012.  They immediately caught my attention and have been a favorite band of mine ever since.  2015 saw the release of their latest album, Terms and Conditions which found the band’s sound enhanced by the addition of a sax player.  They still melt faces.  In addition, they had a successful European tour and partnered with the the comic book East of the West for a song/comic collaboration of epic proportions.

2. Valued Customer – Valued Customer have been on my radar since at least October 2012 (maybe earlier).  They are one of the most creative and unique bands I have ever encountered. Combining wildly inventive experimentation, classically trained musicianship, and some pretty deep Eastern spirituality.  The diversity of their musical knowledge and tastes puts me to shame. Although, their next album hugecup is not due until next year, the band treated us with byugecup which are b-sides from the new album – which blew me away.

To the shuffle:

“Made for TV Movie” by Sean Watkins

Our penultimate track from All I Do is Lie – by Sean Watkins of Nickel Creek and Watkins Family Hour.

“All Around in Space” by The Charades

It’s fun having the occasional surf music break in the midst of my shuffle.  The Charades are a Finnish Surf/Instrumental Rock band.

“Crammed and Jammed” by Low Society

Some powerhouse Blues from Memphis – off the album, You Can’t Keep a Good Woman Down.

“Hope” by Vusi Mahlasela

A South African folk singer, that I was introduced to through Warren Haynes live recording from Bonnaroo a few years back.  There is something about African music that touches an elemental place in my being.

“I’ll Meet You In the Morning” by Townes Van Zandt

The penultimate track from the live recording I downloaded back in March on what would have been Townes Van Zandt’s 71st Birthday.

“I’m Down to My Last Cigarette” by The Jayhawks

From Live at The Belly Up.  This is a cover of a Harlan Howard/Billy Walker penned song that was also covered by K.D. Lang on her album Shadowland.

“Jericho” by Tom House

An extremely timely song from Nashville songwriter Tom House from his album Winding Down the Road which was produced by Brock Zeman.

“100 Floors” by Stone Cupid

We are inching closer to the official release date of The Cardinal – the debut album by Stone Cupid which is Julie Christensen’s band.  If you didn’t get in on this via the PledgeMusic campaign or pick up a copy at a live show, you will soon get your chance to own this album.  I have been digging on it for a few months now, and I can tell you it is going to be one of my favorite albums of 2016. (It’s already a favorite).  window.amznpubstudioTag = “eartothegro00-20”;       http://ps-us.amazon-adsystem.com/domains/eartothegro00-20_3dcd3a52-1a1a-4afe-a2fd-aaba8e251afc.js

And so it goes, and we reach the end of another work week here at #E2TG.  Heading into the weekend just ahead of Thanksgiving here in the United States. There is  a ton of great music happening this weekend at different venues.  Choose your poison and get out there.

Among the shows coming up today and tomorrow (and no I cannot make it to all of these):  Today: Joey Kneiser of Glossary is releasing a new record, and he will play this evening at Grimey’s.  Will Kimbrough is also he releasing a new record, and he will be playing The Basement at 7:00 with Nellie Clay opening. Today is Tommy Womack’s birthday, and we will playing around 9:00 at The Family Wash. Also tonight, the East Nashville Underground: A Magical Reunion is going on at The Basement East.  Plus there is the weekly, Tim Carroll Rock and Roll Happy Hour at The 5 Spot. Plus probably tons of other stuff.

Tomorrow night: One of this blog’s favorites Mark Robinson Band will be playing an early show at The 5 Spot (6:00 start).  Joey Kneiser will be playing that venue after that.  Meanwhile, over at the Family Wash – Knoxville poet and songwriter R.B. Morris will be playing.  Plus the aforementioned East Nashville Underground event continues at The Beast.  and More…

We have a Featured Friday Shuffle that I am really happy about today… let’s take a gander…

“Pieces of Things” by Lindsay Ellyn

What can I say?  This is another track from Lindsay’s Out of Road EP which is one of my faves of the year.  Lindsay somehow manages to pull of great fashion sense, amazing songwriting ability, and being one of the most generous and genuine people I know.  Plus, she surrounds herself with some incredibly talented people (both on this record and in her live performances).

“Broken As I Am” by Stone Cupid

From the forthcoming album, The Cardinal.  This is one of two leaving California songs that Julie Christensen sings. While, we know that California misses her, Nashville is awfully glad to claim her.  Backed by an amazing band of Nashville’s finest, Stone Cupid serves as wonderful encapsulation of Christensen’s storied career and life.

“All My Nightmares” by Maxim Ludwig

Way back in at the very beginning of this blog, when I was still trying to figure out what Ear to the Ground was going to be, I decided to create an Artist of the Week feature (the feature lasted several months and gave way to the Featured Artists feature which lasted several more months).  The very first Ear to the Ground Artist of the Week was Maxim Ludwig.  At the time, he was performing with his band, The Santa Fe Seven.  Later he recorded under a different band name, and now he is back with music recording under the name Maxim Ludwig.  He has new single, which I am really digging.  I really like keeping up with the music and artists I have “discovered” through writing this blog, and it is always a great thing when one of them puts out new music.

“So Long, So Long” by Jeremy Nash

My shuffle function seems to really be enjoying Jeremy Nash’s Getaway Driver record, and I cannot say that I blame it one bit.  This is another fine track of that album.

“Killing Women and Children” by Tom House

Tom House is a songwriter and a poet who has long been a fixture on the Nashville music scene.  His latest album is called Songs Like Dreams… More Like Blood.   Looking forward to hearing and writing more about his music.

“Sorry You’re Sick” by Mary Gauthier

Another track from Cold and Bitter Tears: The Songs of Ted Hawkins.  This track features Mary Gauthier.  I got to see her perform this song at the meet and greet for the record, held during Americana week.  A really lovely song.

“Major Key” by Jon Latham

“What are you wanting out of this?  A little more Steve Earle, a little less heroin.”  So opens Jon Latham’s Real Bad News – that studio banter is followed by this song on which Latham delivers.  This is the defining song on the album and sets the tone. A steady rocker that hits on all cylinders (clever and intelligent references, powerful lines and a crystal clear musicality).  This should be your new favorite song.

“Sweet Magnolia Love” by D.L. Duncan

And we close out the day with some more excellent blues from the self-titled record by D.L. Duncan which features some amazing players including Delbert McClinton, Sonny Landreth and many more.  If this music does not make you feel better, I am not sure what will.

Another month has begun… we celebrate with a randomly generated shuffle of music…

“All I Need” (Radio Edit) by The Boy From the Crowd

Another track from the Where the Bees Come to Die.  This is actually the “radio edit” of a song from that EP.  Heavy Blues based alternative rock. I’m digging this music a bunch!

“MacGillcuddy’s Reeks” by Warren Zevon

Another track from My Ride’s Here – Zevon’s 2002 album.  This one is set against a traditional sounding Irish reel.

“All At Once You Unzipped” by Bill Lloyd

Feeling the Elephant established Bill Lloyd as the king of Nashville power pop – a crown his has held onto and reclaimed over the decades that have followed.  Infectious melodies and wicked guitar work… check the video playlist for a recent performance of Bill Lloyd proving he still wears that crown.

“American Dreaming” by Killing Kuddles

A long time favorite of Ear to the Ground.  This is a track from the EP Sinking Ship which was released back in June.  Punk-spirited folk/pop music from the 21st Century.

“Keep Your Distance” by Richard Thompson

Richard Thompson at his absolute best – from his classic album Rumor and Sigh.

“Surf Explosion” (Video Edit) by Martin Cilia

This is another track from the awesome Instrumental Rock sampler I got via Continental Magazine.   Martin Cilia is an Australian guitar player – best known as a long time member of the classic surf rock band, The Atlantics.  He more recently joined the long running Australian new wave band, Mental as Anything.

“Where Do I Begin” by Wilco

Another track from the recent Wilco album,Star Wars.

“Would You Love Me” by Stone Cupid

Another track from the forthcoming and fantastic album by Stone Cupid – The Cardinal.  Stone Cupid is the powerhouse Nashville band that backs up Julie Christensen – a punk rock survivor – perhaps best know for her long association with Leonard Cohen – which includes appearing in the 2005 tribute show for Leonard Cohen which resulted in the film, I’m Your Man.  She performed “Anthem” alongside Perla Batalla at that show, and a new version of that song appears as a Bonus Track on The Cardinal.  Christensen has been living in Nashville for a few years, and she has put together a top notch band.

“Summer Wine” by Lana Del Rey

We close out the first post of November with a nostalgic look back… kind of… It’s Lana Del Rey with Barrie-James O’Neill of Kassidy with a cover of a song written by Lee Hazlewood and most famous covered by Nancy Sinatra who sang the song with Hazlewood in 1967.

E2TG moves into the mid-week.  The rain has stopped for now, and I actually think I saw a patch of blue sky for a second, but it’s gone now…

We have a nifty shuffle that features some friends, a cover, a variety of styles of music, and a classic track from 1979.  Boom!

“Love Remains” by Bob Lewis

Adding to the growing and awesome list of cool songwriters I know in Nashville…  I got to see Bob Lewis perform a while back. Cool songs with a bit of  Paul Westerberg sound… always a good thing.  I see him frequently working the front door (and occasionally behind the bar) at The 5 Spot.  If you ever go there and he is working, mention Ear to the Ground…. then show him your ID and pay the cover.  Mentioning Ear to the Ground won’t get you anything, but hey, it always helps to have people mention your blog.

“Tupelo” by Ted Drozdowski’s Scissormen

In the random shuffle/good timing department….  Ted and his Scissormen will be will playing Music City Roots in Franklin tonight – along with another artist we’ve featured here – Amy Black.  Should be a cool night of music…  Interesting to see if the MCR stage can contain Ted Drozdowski… hint: Don’t count on it!  This is an older song from the band which is available on a Noisetrade sampler called Stink Eye.  Ted and company’s new album Love and Life is out now and you should get it!

“Cuts Like a Knife” (Bryan Adams cover) by The Hold Steady

What’s that? You’ve always wondered what it would sound like if The Hold Steady covered a big hit song by 80s Canadian star Bryan Adams… well wonder no more.  No video of this, but grab your own copy of the song and other Halloween Treats in the October Feel Bad for You Mixtape which is available right now on our good friend Popa’s Tunes site.  Hint: Even if you really don’t like Bryan Adams, you should check this out.   Hint 2: Bryan Adams did not just release a cover of Taylor Swift’s 1989 album.

“Silk and Diamonds” by James Tomberlin

Former Nashville singer/songwriter James Tomberlin delivers the sexy with this track from his record, Still Life With Orange.  The album was produced at Fort Dakota Studios by Josh Morris who also co-produced Jon Latham’s new album Real Bad News.   Coincidently (or not), Jon Latham does a pretty awesome James Tomberlin impression.

“Lucky Me” by The Unravelling

Making the smooth transition from a silky smooth singer-songwriter to some progressive gothic industrial metal from Calgary, we feature another track from the album Tear a Hole in the Collective Vision.

“Never Going Back” by Samantha Crain

And we go back to some cool singer-songwriter/folk music – because that is how we roll at #E2TG.  Samantha Crain is from Oklahoma, which as I have discovered of late, is home to a bunch of really awesome songwriters.  I got to see Samantha in a round at The Bluebird Café earlier this year, and I was highly impressed. “Never Going Back” is from her 2013 album, Kid Face.

“Riverside” by Stone Cupid

Another day, another Stone Cupid song from the forthcoming The Cardinal.  This one is a song about a Demolition Derby in Winterset, Iowa. It rocks!

window.amznpubstudioTag = “eartothegro00-20”; http://ps-us.amazon-adsystem.com/domains/eartothegro00-20_3dcd3a52-1a1a-4afe-a2fd-aaba8e251afc.js “London Calling” by The Clash

And we close out the mid-week shuffle with the title track from one of my all-time favorite albums by one of the best bands of all time.  “and I live by the river…”

Rain is falling steadily over Nashville.  It’s a cool, dreary kind of day.  I’m already dreading the long dark winter season.

We have some cool tunes for you this morning to help cope with the dreariness…

“Listen Closely Now” by Dan Coyle

From his 2009 album Random Thoughts and Incomplete Sentences, we have another track from Dan Coyle for you. An #E2TG favorite to be sure, and it is great to check out some older tunes that I have not heard.

“Cold Night” by Chuck Ragan and Austin Lucas

I have become a big Austin Lucas fan, and when I came across his 2008 collaboration with Chuck Ragan – called Bristle Ridge, I had to add it to my playlist.

“The Death of Coyote Woman” by All Them Witches

Nashville’s All Them Witches will be releasing their new album, Dying Surfer Meets His Maker, at the end of this week. To celebrate, they released a sampler on Noisetrade that includes a couple of tracks from the new album along with a healthy dose of older music, including this one which was on their 2014 album Lightning at the Door.

“Shelly’s Winter Love” by Jesse and Noah

Jesse and Noah are back in the shuffle – this time with a Merle Haggard cover.  I love the harmonies these guys produce.

“Renegade” by Direct Divide

From their EP Own Your Ocean which was released back in July, we have the Seattle band that describes themselves as Cinematic Rock, which I tend to agree with… there is definitely a BIG rock sound here.  This is a really cool song.

“Pray For Me” by Whiskey Shivers

Another track from the 2014 self-titled album by Austin based Whiskey Shivers.  It seems like ever since I came across this album, I keep hearing more and more about these guys.  That is a good thing.

“Live and Not Die Tryin'” by Stone Cupid

Stone Cupid is Julie Christensen’s amazing band.  Their debut album called The Cardinal is due out in January.  If you happen to catch Julie live between now and then, be sure to mention “Ear to the Ground” and she just might sell you a copy.  I have been fortunate enough to catch Stone Cupid (sans the rhythm section) a copy of times recently, and both have been phenomenal.

“5th of July” by Dean Fields

Dean Fields was a Featured Artist on Ear to the Ground back when Featured Artist was a thing we did. Since, then he has been killing it all over the country. He started a monthly music series called Harvester and this song is one of the songs released through that project.  He also recently made all of his previous albums available for pay what you want…. so head to his website to see what all the fuss is about.

Still kind of reeling from AMA Week (plus catching up on things like errands and laundry etc.).  About time to get out again, though.

In the shuffle…

“Broken Shoulders” by Dan Martin

Another strong track from Hoka Hey.  Martin is from Tulsa, OK.  There is some fine, fine music coming out of Oklahoma these days!

“Gasoline” by Stone Cupid

Unless you did the pre-order, you will have to wait until January to get hold of Stone Cupid’s album The Cardinal. I pre-ordered, so I don’t.  As  a sneak peak, we have a live performance from the (original) Family Wash of the title track from the album. Gasoline rocks with the proper mix of power and restraint that is evident through the album.  The experience of Julie Christensen and her band is evident.

“Whole Lotta Women” by Steve James

During Americana week, I attended a launch party for an album project called, Cold and Bitter Tears – a tribute to the legendary Venice Beach street performer who passed away in 1995  – less than a year after landing a record deal with Geffen and finally finding some degree of commercial success.   This is a song from that record, recorded by folk/blues musician Steve James.

“Trash and Mystery” by B-Movie

Another track from the 13 O’clock release by PPNW Records.  B-Movie were an early 80s New Wave band from England.  This is a previously unreleased demo from 1981.

“High Yellow” by Cootie Stark

From the folks at Music Maker Relief Foundation. Cootie Stark was a Piedmont Blues musician who passed away in 2005.

“Jedd’s Gold Sled” by Crazy Aces

More fine instrumental rock music from Nashville’s Crazy Aces.

“Female of the Species” by Space

The UK band Space formed in the 90s.  They have just released a new single called “Strange World”.  “Female of the Species” was released as a single back in the mid 90s, and it stayed in the UK Top 40 for three months.  It is a great sounding song, that I am hearing for the first time.

“I Heard Her Call My Name” by The Velvet Underground

And, we close out the day with some classic VU from White Light/White Heat.

Featured Friday Morning Music Shuffle- Tray Tables Up Mix

Well, it is FRIDAY!  Not only that, but I have a three day weekend ahead of me.  Some prelims before we get to the Featured Friday Shuffle…

Last night was another absolutely astonishing night of music at The 5 Spot in East Nashville.  First, it was week one of David Olney’s September Residency. As always, the songs were fantastic and the band was tight.  Besides his usual band (Justin Amaral drums, Daniel Seymour bass, and Sergio Webb guitar), Olney was joined by Ward Stout (who played other stringed type instruments).  The highlight for me was when Olney played is signature song, “Deeper Well” and wrapped the song around a mind-blowing mashup of Bo Diddley and “Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

The late show at the Spot began with Reno Bo who was joined on guitar by Sadler Vaden (Jason Isbell’s guitar player).  Then, Jesse Lafser played a spirited set that impressed me greatly.  The night ended with a magical jam that features Cordovas and featured Joe Firstman (who was at one time the band leader on Last Call with Carson Daly), Audley Freed (Black Crowes, Sheryl Crow), Steve Gorman (Black Crowes), and the always amazing Brian Wright.  Late in the set, Firstman turned over his bass to guest Pat Sansone (Wilco). The band performed an absolutely killer version of Neil Young’s “Cortez the Killer”, and then Firstman called up another guest, Jewel who joined the band for John Prine’s “Angel from Montgomery”.  An awe-inspiring end to a great night of music.

Other news, Nashville singer-songwriter Kevin Gordon released his new album, Long Gone Time today.  You should buy this album, but if you need convincing, you can check out my review which is up on No Depression.

Finally, an update on WXNA, the new low-power community radio station being created here in Nashville.  There are just 4 days left to donate and be a part of making this thing a reality.  Details below:

Well, I’ve run on a bit haven’t I… we still have a shuffle to present….

“Savior of Love” by Brian Carpenter and the Confessions

We have our second listen from the forthcoming, Far End of the World album.  I am really digging the sound of this Boston band.  Check them out!

“Throwing Strikes” by Angela Easterling

One more from the incredible, Common Law Wife, album. This one is about baseball, a crushed dreams, small towns, and hard times.

“Shed My Skin” by Stone Cupid

Our first of two tracks from the forthcoming album The Cardinal by Stone Cupid – the Nashville band fronted by Julie Christensen (Divine Horsemen, Leonard Cohen etc.). The band features the dual guitar attack of Sergio Webb and Chris Tench, bassist Bones Hillman (Midnight Oil) and drummer Steve Latanation (Agent Orange).  If you failed to heed my advice to get in on the pre-order, then you will have to wait until early 2016 to hear this record. We have a live performance from Stone Cupid, and a fun video from Julie and her husband in our Video playlist.

“Market Place” by Eight O’Five Jive

Congratulations are in order to Nashville’s Eight O’Five Jive. The took home two Nashville Industry Music Awards for Best Live Blues Performers and Best Blues Artists.  Well deserved!  Too Many Men is a fun album filled with many great songs like the one we featured today.

“Paper Napkins” by Benchmarks

Another one from American Night. This song was first released as a solo single by Todd Farrell back in December. It is such a good song, and rightfully, it ended up on Benchmarks new record.

“Hit Me, Hit Me, Hit Me” by The Satisfactors

More straight ahead rock and roll from the self-titled debut by the New Jersey supergroup. A fun song!

“Broken Wing” by Stone Cupid

Another from The Cardinal.  If you catch her live, you may just be able to get your copy of the album.  Otherwise, mark your calendar for January 22, 2016.

“The One” by The Danbury Lie

Our final song from Scattered Moments of Connection.   More evidence to explain my continued infatuation with this music.
